Hans Sofrasi Nottingham
Last weekend we decided to eat out and the first choice once again was Han Sofrasi, a Turkish Cuisine restaurant on Alfreton Road, Nottingham.
We Just found it one day by chance on our way to the Habesha Ethiopian Restaurant.
I still cant believe that i didnot know about this restaurant despite the fact that we live about 20 minutes away.
Anyways we decided to go in and try it out.Its not a vey big restaurant.I think they have about 20 seats.
I think its a good thing as it means you can get a good service.
As soon as we walked the staff Welcome us nicely with a nice Asalam Aleikum (though am not sure if the girls are muslim) We got a nice table in the corner.
They make the best Humus i have ever tasted in UK.The Humus costs £3.20 served with turkish Bread. Its my choice starter.
Most meals cost about £8.50 like my favourite Lamb Shis Kebab for a large portion. The meat is tender and well cooked.
If in a group i think the mixed grill platter is a good choice priced at £11.50
I havent tried the soup yet but i will the next time i visit the restaurant. They have 2 choices of soup- Lamb soup (Paca) and Lentil Soup (mercimek)
I tried the lahmachun Original (tomatoes, onions, peppers,Garlic,Parsley,Minced Meat and Mixed herbs seved with fresh salad and lemon on a thin bread) at £2 i think its really a good deal.
The last time we went to eat there the waiter and the chef somehow forgot about our order. She was very apologetic.Anyway to be honest i think the wait was worth it as the food was delicious.
If you going to eat at Hansofrasi as group i think its a good idea to reserve a table as it get get very busy sometimes.
In my opinion this restaurant is among the best top Nottingham restaurants and worthy to be feature on www.topnottingham.com
